For
the second month in a row, we have seen a sharp decline
in Single Family homes both in the City and the County.
At the same time, we have seen a sharp increase in
Median Prices. What that is telling me is that even
though fewer people are buying homes these days, those
that are buying are relatively well
heeled. With
financing for condos back in place, condo sales have
picked up quite dramatically, almost doubling compared
to condo sales for November
2009. The
key point to keep in mind is that home prices are at an
historic low and so are interests rates. For those who
can get financing or have cash on hand, this is a great
time to buy. Please call us at Shalizi Real Estate
should you have any questions.

Three
Reasons to Sell Your Home SOON!
Sales
Decline Following Two Monthly Gains
Existing-home
sales retreated in October on the heels of two strong
monthly gains. Existing-home sales declined 2.2 percent
to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.43 million in
October from 4.53 million in September, and are 25.9
percent below the 5.98 million-unit level in October
2009, when sales were surging prior to the initial
deadline for the first-time buyer tax credit. "The
housing market is experiencing an uneven recovery, and a
temporary foreclosure stoppage in some states is likely
to have held back a number of completed sales," says NAR
Chief Economist Lawrence Yun. "Still, sales activity is
clearly off the bottom and is attempting to settle into
normal sustainable levels."
